Our Family Liaison Officers are here as a first point of contact for all families to offer guidance and provide support and resources. They can also support form filling, such as Disability Living Allowance and Grants.
Our Family Liaison Officers also co-ordinate parent support groups and workshops that run regularly at the centre and also organise family events. The events include fun activities for children and information and support for parents and carers. The latter offer an opportunity for families to seek information from Health, Local Authority, Education, Sport and Voluntary sectors.
If you have a child or young person diagnosed or undergoing an assessment for a disability or developmental difficulty and live in Caerphilly County Borough, you can contact our Family Liaison Officer Lisa by phone on 02920 867447 or email abb.familyliaisonwest@wales.nhs.uk.
"Initially I had low expectations as we went through a stage of having meetings and referrals to so many different people at both nurseries, hospital etc., but the Family Liaison Service has been by far the most helpful and are so easy to get in contact with. The service has far exceeded my initial expectations to say the least. "
